Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi

  • Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi is Director General at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), a New Delhi-based policy research institute, supported by the Government of India. He was Global Justice Fellow at the MacMillan Center for International Affairs at Yale University. He has done his Ph.D. in Economics. He works on issues related to development economics, involving development finance.  He is also on the board of the Reserve Bank of India.

    He has authored/edited 10 books, apart from contributing chapters in edited volumes and publishing several research articles in various prestigious journals. 

    He has served as a Visiting Professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).   He had been a Developing Country Fellow at the University of Amsterdam (1996) and Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla (2003), and Visiting Scholar at the German Development Institute (2007).  He is also on the Editorial Advisory Board of IDS Bulletin, Sussex, UK.
